Interested in Buggyfit but have some questions? Here are our most frequently asked questions which we hope will help!
What does a typical Buggyfit class look like?
Each class is 60 minutes long and is created by specialist pre and postnatal trainers to focus on both your physical and mental well-being. Classes combine cardio, body strength & core exercises along with tips and techniques to hep postnatal recovery. Our trainers offer various modifications to ensure you feel comfortable and safe no matter what stage of your fitness journey you are on, and of course there is always the opportunity for a chat and a chance to make new friends.
Will Buggyfit be too easy or too hard?
Short answer is NO. Our Buggyfit trainers are qualified pre and postnatal professionals who ensure each participant is getting a workout that best suits their fitness journey. All of our classes have various modifications to suit you best, and our trainers take the time to get to know you to be able to advise you best to get the workout your body is ready for in the safest possible way.
When can I start?
You are welcome to join us at any point in your post-partum journey. We recommend any time from around 6 weeks, but please do not start until you feel ready to do so or have been given the all clear from a medical professional.
Are Buggyfit Trainers Qualified?
Yes! All of our instructors are fully qualified and insured to ensure you have a safe workout that will be effective for your ongoing fitness needs.
What should I wear?
Buggyfit takes place no matter what the weather – so come prepared accordingly come rain or shine. We advise the following to make you as comfortable as possible:
- Layers of clothes depending on the weather
- Hats, scarves & mittens when cold
- Good fitting sports bra (breastfeeding friendly ones help if you are a breastfeeding mum!)
- Good, outdoor trainers
- Suncream in warmer weather
What must I not forget?
- Stay hydrated – make sure you bring a bottle of water with you
- Your completed Health Screening Form
- All those important bits for your baby including:
- Layers, blankets, mittens, hats and the likes for little ones
- Suncream or sunshades
- Rain covers
- Drinks & snacks
- Toys, books or other entertainment
- We also recommend that you feed and change your little one before class to help maximise the time you have to focus on YOU
What if my baby cry’s?
Possible our most asked question… The Answer? It really doesn’t matter, we promise!
- No one notices your baby crying
- You are absolutely welcome to step away from the class to help settle them- feeding, pacifying, changing, jiggling the buggy or whatever else helps
- The can be on you during the class if that helps
- Our Buggyfit trainers LOVE baby snuggles – we are always here to help so whether that’s rocking the buggy while you workout or having cuddles, we can always lend a hand
And remember, there is NO judgement, so don’t not come just because you are worried your little one won’t settle
Do I have to run?
NO – Whilst our classes include cardio work, we offer low impact modifications for anyone who would prefer not to run.
We hope that helps, but if you have any more questions please get in touch with us at info@buggyfit.co.uk
