Introducing Lessbounce’s selection of sports bras

The Berlei Running Bra (RRP £32.00) is a new sports bra based on the best selling sports bra in Australia. It has ultra-sonic welding which gives the support. It is underwired, but very comfortable and a multiway so very versatile, it also looks more like an everyday bra – with a particularly low front compared to other sports bras making it easier to wear with a variety of sports tops, particularly as the cups are seamfree.

The Sportjock Extra Zip (RRP £39.00) is one of a limited number of front-fastening sports bras on the market – we have others with hooks and eyes, but this is the only zip at the moment, which is quicker to fasten than the hooks. The advantages for breast feeding being clear, its also easier to get on and off. The wider back spreads the support across the back and away from the shoulders.

For further information or to purchase either of these bras, please visit www.lessbounce.com.

The reviews:

‘This bra looks beautiful compared to other sports bras. It is made of silky black fabric with a bright purple lining, works well too. ‘ Overall I would give this bra a 4 out of 5.

The Berlei Running Bra was tested by Emma Redding, Buggyfit Head Office.

‘As soon as I put this bra on I thought ‘this is comfy’, the material was nice and soft and it didn’t pinch anywhere. Before testing outside the house I jumped around in front of the mirror to ensure it was providing plenty of support, happily it did and the level of support was good enough for running and teaching Buggyfit, even towards the end of a class when I was getting close to feeding time again. The zip on the front made feeding easy and the hooks ensured it was easy to zip up again after feeding. Due to the number of classes I teach and being a regular runner I needed to wash the bra often, however even with lots of washing it kept its shape and form. I have recommended it to a number of my mums as it certainly made my life much easier. Overall I would give this bra a huge 5 out of 5!

The Sportjock Extra Zip Bra was tested by Emma Perkins, a buggyfit trainer for Basingstoke North and Bramley.

A buggyfit mum’s review of the SnoozeShade for Infant Car Seats:

“I have found it invaluable when trying to get my little one to sleep away from home. The only downside I can think of is the zip makes a noise so when you open to see if your little one is still asleep you might get a beady eye looking up at you! If this could be replaced with an overflap of fabric it would be perfect. Overall I would give this product a 5 out of 5 as it was the best £20 I’ve spent in a while.”

The UK’s first branded wrist strap for your pram. Award winning BuggyTug offers reassurance for every parent that their pram rolling away is one thing that they don’t need to worry about. Accidents are so common that it’s illegal not to have one in some countries! For further information please visit www.buggytug.com.

A buggyfit mum’s review:

“Having never had a wrist strap attached to my buggy before, I wasn’t sure it was a necessity, although other Mums at my buggyfit class who had always had them said they woudln’t use their buggy without a wrist strap. Although my buggyfit classes are only once a week, it did give me peace of mind down the steep paths at the Waddesdon class. Overall I give this product 4 out of 5.”

Tommy’s – September 2011

Once again, Buggyfit is proud to support Tommy’s and this September will be organising a series of five sponsored 8K run/power walk events across the UK for you to take part with your baby in their buggy.

• Brighton • Cardiff • Cheltenham • Northwich • Windsor•

Sadly one in four women in the UK will lose a baby during pregnancy or birth. Tommy’s funds research into, and provides information on, the causes and prevention of miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth.

Tommy’s know there is no experience more harrowing than losing a baby. Helping women to understand pregnancy and complications during pregnancy is at the core of what Tommy’s do. They rely on donations in order to continue to offer services such as their midwife-run Pregnancy Information Line and to further develop our research programs and clinical trials to reduce the number of stillbirths, premature births and miscarriages experienced each year.

We were invited to Downing St. for a drinks reception last Wednesday (18th May), for our contribution to pre and postnatal exercise and fundraising efforts for Tommy’s Baby charity.

Obviously flattered to be invited, we entered the famous gates, were cheked by security and once we were behind THAT door, were treated to wine and canapes!

Inside, we chatted to many people from both the corporate world linked with pre and postnatal life, plus some amazing couples who have had the misfortune to need to utilise the great research Tommy’s does that our funding goes towards. Especially Pinz and Jeet from Greenford who are looking forward to the birth of a Daughter soon- Best wishes.

Last year Buggyfit organised an event called ‘The Baby Race’ in conjuntion with Tommy’s and raised over £10,000. In September 2011 we have 5 venues for ‘The Baby Race’ , so are on track to raise £50k + (See www.tommys.org to see how you can get involved.
