Buggytug

BuggyTugIntroducing BuggyTug

The UK’s first branded wrist strap for your pram. Award winning BuggyTug offers reassurance for every parent that their pram rolling away is one thing that they don’t need to worry about. Accidents are so common that it’s illegal not to have one in some countries! For further information please visit www.buggytug.com.

A buggyfit mum’s review:

“Having never had a wrist strap attached to my buggy before, I wasn’t sure it was a necessity, although other Mums at my buggyfit class who had always had them said they woudln’t use their buggy without a wrist strap. Although my buggyfit classes are only once a week, it did give me peace of mind down the steep paths at the Waddesdon class. Overall I give this product 4 out of 5.”

Buggytug tested by Dawn, a buggyfit mum from Thame.

The 650 free roaming deer and landscape of hills, woodlands, ponds, gardens and grasslands set amongst ancient trees, make Richmond Park the perfect place to get away from it all. Tommy’s

Tommy’s – September 2011

Once again, Buggyfit is proud to support Tommy’s and this September will be organising a series of five sponsored 8K run/power walk events across the UK for you to take part with your baby in their buggy.

• Brighton • Cardiff • Cheltenham • Northwich • Windsor•

Sadly one in four women in the UK will lose a baby during pregnancy or birth. Tommy’s funds research into, and provides information on, the causes and prevention of miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth.

Tommy’s know there is no experience more harrowing than losing a baby. Helping women to understand pregnancy and complications during pregnancy is at the core of what Tommy’s do. They rely on donations in order to continue to offer services such as their midwife-run Pregnancy Information Line and to further develop our research programs and clinical trials to reduce the number of stillbirths, premature births and miscarriages experienced each year.

Downing Street Drinks Reception!

We were invited to Downing St. for a drinks reception last Wednesday (18th May), for our contribution to pre and postnatal exercise and fundraising efforts for Tommy’s Baby charity.
Obviously flattered to be invited, we entered the famous gates, were cheked by security and once we were behind THAT door, were treated to wine and canapes!
Inside, we chatted to many people from both the corporate world linked with pre and postnatal life, plus some amazing couples who have had the misfortune to need to utilise the great research Tommy’s does that our funding goes towards. Especially Pinz and Jeet from Greenford who are looking forward to the birth of a Daughter soon- Best wishes.
Last year Buggyfit organised an event called ‘The Baby Race’ in conjuntion with Tommy’s and raised over £10,000. In September 2011 we have 5 venues for ‘The Baby Race’ , so are on track to raise £50k + (See www.tommys.org to see how you can get involved.

Straight into summer!

Gosh we seem to have skipped Spring and gone straight into summer! I know I can hear you all saying – “Don’t hold your breath”. The buggyfitters at my class yesterday ALMOST tried to moan that it was too hot! I hope your obliques hurt today ladies. So the children break up from school today, and The Redding family are off to France skiing, or walking depending on the amount of snow left. My quads are strong and I am ready to ski hard. Not sure Mr Reds is feeling the same as he is suffering a knee injury, I’m sure it will recover well when he sees the piste!

We have had an exciting start to the month here at buggyfit. We are featured in the May edition of VOGUE magazine, and I have received an invite to a drinks reception at Downing Street! Our Buggyft Tommy’s baby Race venues are almost confirmed. There will be 5 events this year in September, so keep an eye out and enter.
Many of our buggyfit trainers are getting teams together to run or walk a ‘race for life’. Buggyfit have been asked by Race for Life and Tesco to help get Mums involved……. So what are you waiting for? Have a great Easter! Emma
