Richmond Park 5K & 10K Run – October 2011
The Shock Absorber Women Only Run is the only event in which you can run on Richmond Park’s smooth, tarmac roads completely traffic free!
There is something for everyone with 10k, 5k and ‘Run with your Buggy’ options. What’s more, the course lends itself perfectly for friends and family to support and cheer you on.
The 650 free roaming deer and landscape of hills, woodlands, ponds, gardens and grasslands set amongst ancient trees, make Richmond Park the perfect place to get away from it all. So why not come down and run through one of London’s most picturesque locations, either with friends and family or on your own…
Tommy’s – September 2011
Once again, Buggyfit is proud to support Tommy’s and this September will be organising a series of five sponsored 8K run/power walk events across the UK for you to take part with your baby in their buggy.
• Brighton • Cardiff • Cheltenham • Northwich • Windsor•
Sadly one in four women in the UK will lose a baby during pregnancy or birth. Tommy’s funds research into, and provides information on, the causes and prevention of miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth.
Tommy’s know there is no experience more harrowing than losing a baby. Helping women to understand pregnancy and complications during pregnancy is at the core of what Tommy’s do. They rely on donations in order to continue to offer services such as their midwife-run Pregnancy Information Line and to further develop our research programs and clinical trials to reduce the number of stillbirths, premature births and miscarriages experienced each year.

Trend – 2011
Vicki New, 26 is an Army officer and lives in Bicester with her husband Richard and their baby daughter.
I had my first child in March last year and put on a lot of weight during my pregnancy. I’m in the Army, so I’ve always been pretty fit but I didn’t exercise at all for the whole nine months. A couple of months after Isabella was born I thought ‘Right, enough is enough’, and I knew I had to seriously tackle my weight problem…
By combining Weight Watchers with Buggyfit classes, I managed to get down to 14st 2lb. I’m much fitter now thanks to Buggyfit and I have started running again too – I’ve also made some great new friends…
